At the mall there was a kitchen specialty store I wanted to shop at and finally I would be able to go. For six weeks I saved my money for this day. Now I could get what I needed for my kitchen.
First I had to choose a new countertop microwave. Some of the buttons on my old one no longer worked so I wanted to replace it. My old one had saved me a lot of time over the years, so I was now looking for an efficient replacement as I used it all the time.
There were so many microwaves to choose from, it took a while to make a decision. I finally found the one that had all the bells and whistles that I had been looking for, as well as extra features I had not known were available. This would be great to have in the kitchen. I loaded it into my cart and moved on to baking dishes.
I had to purchase a cake pan. My last one was loaned out and had not yet been returned. There were many aisles to look at so I started my search. Here again there were many choices to choose from. I baked too often not to have at least one of these in my kitchen.
I went down aisle after aisle checking out the options. There were so many brands and a number of different shapes. Finally I saw the one I wanted. It was a heart cake pan. This shape could be used for everyday as well as for holidays. It would be great asset to my kitchen baking items. Then I decided to pick up a set of spatulas, as I could never have enough of those.
At home with my new purchases I wanted to use them all right away. Of course that was not practical. I settled on reheating my rice in the microwave. One minute and the rice was ready to eat! This would save me a lot of time in the future on evenings when I did not want to cook.
The baking pans would have to wait. I would not bake at this time of night. The Church bake sale was coming up and I could use them at that time. My purchases were put away and I was happy with my choices. They would do well in my kitchen.
